I’m proud to share this update with you:

My legislation to ensure our veterans receive the care they deserve has become law. Our veterans have sacrificed so much for our freedoms – we owe it to them to give them the support they need upon their return.

While the Veterans Experience Office (VEO) has been operating for a decade, this legislation permanently establishes the office – protecting the office from being cut from the Department of Veterans Affairs.

The VEO is a key to making VA services more accessible to veterans, their families, caregivers, and survivors. This will greatly benefit our heroes who struggle with receiving critical services, from health care to therapy and beyond.

This is a meaningful step forward, but there is still a lot of work to be done. I look forward to continuing to deliver results for Central and Southern Illinois.

Thank you,

Nikki
