I’m going to be straight with you: We’re up against a movement determined to tear down our democracy and a president who’ll do anything to hold onto power.

That’s why I’m reaching out now to ask you to chip in and help me keep pushing back against Trump’s attacks on the rule of law.

Recently, on the Senate floor, I laid out ten ways Donald Trump is destroying this country. I want every American to know that Trump is failing us by:

1. Undermining American innovation:
   Trump is attacking our world-class research institutions and shutting out international talent, limiting our leadership in science, technology, and medicine.
   
   
2. Slashing food assistance:
   He’s gutting the supplemental nutrition programs that keep millions of American families healthy and ensure our kids don’t go to bed hungry.
   
   
3. Abandoning our allies:
   Trump is weakening our international partnerships, cozying up with dictators, and making America less safe.
   
   
4. Sabotaging renewable energy:
   He’s killing clean energy projects, ceding global renewable energy leadership to China, raising utility bills, and making us more dependent on fossil fuels.
   
   
5. Damaging public health:
   He’s slashing funding for the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and key research programs, meaning cures will be delayed, clinical trials will end, and life-saving care will be harder to access.
   
   
6. Crippling essential services with DOGE cuts:
   From Social Security to wildfire response to public education, Trump is making major funding cuts without worrying about the impact on families, seniors, and kids across the country who will be hurt.
   
   
7. Tanking the economy with tariffs:
   His trade wars are driving up the costs of everyday goods like clothes and groceries while alienating our allies.
   
   
8. Stripping away healthcare:
   Under Trump’s new budget, millions of Americans will lose healthcare coverage. Many rural clinics and hospitals will be forced to close, and all of our healthcare costs will go up.
   
   
9. Undermining the rule of law:
   Trump has been treating the Department of Justice (DOJ) as his own personal political weapon, using it to shield his allies and target his enemies.
   
   
10. Threatening the very idea of America:
    He’s eroding the values that built this country: freedom, self-governance, equality, and the belief that no one is above the law — not even the president.

I know this is a lot to take in, but I believe that together, we can take back our government and end this madness.

The GOP wants to overwhelm us and keep us from acting. But when we come together, we’re not powerless. We can organize, mobilize, and reclaim our country.
