I first met Greg years ago when he was still fighting at the local level in Austin. He wasn't focused on appearances or calculating his next move for higher office. He was simply furious about the injustices he saw around him and determined to do something about them.

While other politicians talk about building a clean energy future “someday,” Greg is fighting to make it real now. From co-sponsoring groundbreaking legislation like the Green New Deal to blocking fossil fuel projects and advancing grid modernization , he has proven himself time and time again as one of the few leaders in Washington we can count on to put people over profit.

And that terrifies bullies like Donald Trump.

Now, Texas Republicans have drawn new, rigged maps that throw Greg and fellow Democratic Rep. Lloyd Doggett into the same district — a deliberate attempt to pit them against each other in a contested primary and silence one of our strongest climate champions in Congress.

If Trump gets away with this in Austin, it will open the doors to attacks on working-class, Latino districts all across America.
