John,
During this month’s congressional recess, dozens of my colleagues from both sides of the aisle took an AIPAC-funded trip to Israel, just a few miles from genocidal devastation in Gaza.
More than 3 out of 4 Congresspeople take money from AIPAC or its affiliates.
In exchange for thousands or even millions of dollars, these members of Congress continue funding, arming, and providing impunity for the Israeli government’s atrocities against the Palestinian people.
More groups and leaders are recognizing this as a genocide, but millions of lives are at stake if the U.S. government doesn’t act now. We must keep up the pressure.
Please sign on to demand your members of Congress reject AIPAC money. It’s time they stand with the American people—most of whom want the U.S. to stop sending weapons to Israel—over right-wing billionaire donors.
I will keep fighting to demand that our government finally take responsibility and act to stop this genocide and apartheid.
Our movement is pushing lawmakers to change their votes: For the first time in history, a majority of Senate Democrats voted to block weapons to the Israeli government. They listened to their constituents and acted to save lives.
At the same time, the number of U.S. Representatives co-sponsoring Block the Bombs legislation keeps rising—but we’re at 34 Reps out of 435.
Too many of my colleagues are denying reality, even as Israel’s government is putting its war crimes into the legislative record for all to see—including recently passing laws to permanently take over the West Bank and Gaza.
These votes violate last year’s orders from the world’s top court and most UN member countries, which demanded Israel’s government immediately withdraw from Gaza and the West Bank, in accordance with international law.
While forcibly starving and bombing Palestinian children, wanted war criminal Netanyahu is also bringing more troops into Gaza, enacting his publicly announced plan to ethnically cleanse and violently occupy all of Gaza.
We must keep up the pressure on the U.S. government to stop this as soon as possible.
With Trump-supporting billionaire donors, AIPAC is the biggest source of Republican money interrupting Democratic primaries. Billionaire influence in politics is corrosive, and we can’t let it silence us, defy the will of voters, or get in the way of liberation.
Add your name to demand your representatives reject money from AIPAC.
Thank you for standing up for our shared humanity.
With you in this fight,
Rashida
