Hi, it's Democratic Congressman Robert Garcia. I have big news: Our Congressional district just got redrawn. 

If this map is passed, I will be running in California's new 42nd District. 

This district includes my hometown of Long Beach, as well as Seal Beach, Huntington Beach, Newport Beach, Costa Mesa, and South Santa Ana.

Here’s the rub: This new district is tougher. In 2024, our district voted for Kamala Harris by 32 points. Our new district voted for Kamala Harris by less than half that.

That means we need to fight harder than ever to keep this seat blue. 

But here’s what else you should know: I’m not backing down. I love my current district, and I’m proud of the communities I’ve served. But I also understand the stakes — our democracy is on the line.

This is going to be one of the most competitive races in California. Republicans will pour money into Southern California to try to flip this seat. And the only way we can stop them is with a strong grassroots campaign powered by supporters like you.

So I’m asking: will you chip in $10, $20, or whatever you can today to help us launch this new campaign in CA-42, keep this district blue, and flip the House? >>
