Dear John,

Last November, a record-breaking 9 million Californians passed Proposition 4 [[link removed]] , securing $10 billion for climate resilience efforts. Voters made it clear: Investing in a healthy environment—including redwood ecosystems—is vital.

Yet despite this mandate , the California Assembly now says it won’t release Prop 4 funds this year. In an era of megafires, drought, and threats to clean water and air, this is unacceptable.

Save the Redwoods League fought to get Prop 4 on the ballot and helped get it passed. Now we’re pushing to ensure every voter-approved dollar is used to strengthen California’s resilience. But we need your help.

Contact your state legislators today and demand Prop 4 funding be allocated this year—as promised. The legislative session ends in just a few weeks. We must act now so the organizations safeguarding our natural resources get the funds they need.
Voters said yes. Now let’s make sure legislators listen.
