Hi John,
This Labor Day, working people are rising up and taking our power back…and we’re going to make our voices heard for the freedom, fairness and security that #WorkersDeserve, with hundreds of events all across the country!
We’re kicking off our Workers’ Labor Day Week of Action with a call on Thursday, Aug. 28 at 7 p.m. ET. Will you join us?
At marches and rallies, picnics and parades, Workers’ Labor Day is a celebration of working people and the power we have when we come together in a union—the power to take back our country for working people, not billionaires. We’ll be coming together at hundreds of events nationwide to celebrate, stand up and fight back.
On this kickoff call, you’ll hear from activists, workers and union leaders about some of the fantastic events they have planned for the week. You’ll also learn about your rights, how to take action safely, and how to create or join an event and mobilize others to attend.
Unions fight for ALL workers, and all workers deserve the freedom, fairness and security that come with a union contract. And that’s why every organizing campaign, every strike, is an act of radical hope. When working people come together and fight for each other, we can stand up to the wealthiest and the most powerful. We can topple corporate greed and rewrite the rules. And we can win. Workers built this country, and on this Workers’ Labor Day and during the #WorkersDeserve Week of Action, we’re taking it back.
Will you join us next Thursday evening to kick off our biggest Workers’ Labor Day ever?
Join America’s labor unions and allies and working people across the nation during our Workers’ Labor Day Week of Action. We’re ready to show everyone who we are and how we fight.
In solidarity,
Team AFL-CIO
P.S. If you can’t join the call, you can still join us on Workers’ Labor Day! Find an event near you.
