Take Menlo Park, for example. Menlo Park, California, is a key part of Silicon Valley and is the corporate headquarters of Meta (aka Facebook and Instagram). It’s also where major companies such as Google and Roblox Corporation were founded. Needless to say, it’s a desirable, high opportunity area where many people would love to live… Yet the city is covered in overbuilt parking lots, wasting valuable community space and contributing to a shortage of homes. Luckily, the Menlo Park City Council has pledged to turn these unneeded lots into at least 345 affordable homes!
