If you've been watching the news the last few weeks, you've seen headlines like this about the President calling for Texas to gerrymander <[link removed]> its districts in the middle of the decade to pick up a few extra seats. And you've also seen these headlines about Governor Newsom saying he'll gerrymander California <[link removed]> back.
You've heard it before, and you've heard it from us. But that doesn't mean it's any less important to say now.
Gerrymandering is corrupt - it's wrong and no one should be ok with it.
Politicians choosing their voters to ensure political power and silence the voices of those they disagree with is, perhaps, the single least American action our legislators take. Our government is supposed to represent all of us. No one should be made irrelevant because their opinion is different than their neighbors.
