TikTok designed its app to addict and prey upon young people, causing serious harm to them in the process. My office’s extensive investigation showed this wasn’t by accident — the app’s addictiveness is the result of choices made year after year by TikTok’s leadership.

The more kids who are addicted to TikTok, the more money the company makes, and the more kids’ mental health suffers. This isn’t just deeply immoral — it’s illegal.

Here’s my bottom line: I’ll protect Minnesota’s kids. That’s why I’m suing TikTok to stop them from preying on children and violating consumer protection laws.
