2018: I ran for Congress on a climate-first platform and flipped a district that had been under Republican control for half a century.

2020: We held this district in the midst of the pandemic because I stood up for science, while my opponent spread wild and deadly conspiracy theories.

2022: Pundits expected this midterm to be a “bloodbath” for Democrats, but we held off a tough primary challenge AND defeated my MAGA opponent for another term in Congress.

2024: We won again here in IL-06, and our victory was a beacon of hope for the future after a long and disappointing election year.

2026: ???

These days, it’s a fool’s errand to predict what the political landscape will look like 15 minutes from now, let alone 15 months.

We’ll have our work cut out for us — that I do know.

That’s nothing new to us, team. We didn’t build this track record by throwing in the towel when the going gets tough.

So, I’m making a personal request: Will you chip in $8 to help defeat my far-right opponent and make sure our eight-year winning streak doesn’t end next November?
