It’s the first day of the best state fair in the country, and I’m fired up. The Great Minnesota Get Together is one of my favorite times of the year because it shows the strength of Minnesota.

Whether it’s eating a corn dog, riding the sling shot with my daughter, Hope, or grabbing a bucket of Sweet Martha’s Cookies, the state fair brings all of us together. When I talk with Minnesotans at the fair (or get the chance to serve up some ice cream), I see the best of us.
