Connecticut regulators are accused of ignoring a court order in a lawsuit brought by utility company Avangrid. Avangrid alleges that PURA Chairwoman Marissa Gillett was connected to an op-ed signed by two state lawmakers accusing the company of spreading “propaganda” by blaming regulators for their financial struggles.
This case highlights everything wrong with our state: ideological regulators who are more focused on control than fair oversight. As a result, businesses like Avangrid, and many others, particularly “mom & pop” businesses, face unnecessary hardships, mountains of expensive red tape, overwhelming taxes, and Democrat lawmakers who are intent on making it more expensive and less attractive to do business in Connecticut.
Many are leaving Connecticut. Those that stay are forced to raise prices, cut wages, and lay off workers. This puts a strain on you and your family as Connecticut becomes more unaffordable.
We need to end this madness.
When Connecticut supports business all of Connecticut wins!
Help us elect legislators who will make Connecticut a better place to run a business and who will make Connecticut more affordable.
