Hi John,
It’s obvious that my opponent Derek Kilmer is scared of us.
He is right to be.
At the same time, he’s sitting on $3.5 million, much of it corporate cash. While I have outraised all of his opponents in the last 3 elections combined, I need to raise a lot more to win. My fundraising deadline is in 2 days. Can you chip in $3 now to help me win, before it’s too late?
Exhibit A: Rep. Kilmer is suddenly talking about Social Security a whole lot more, after The Intercept reported on how he joined with Republicans to sign onto a letter supporting Social Security cuts.
Exhibit B: he ran a poll asking voters whether they agreed or disagreed with the statement: “Derek Kilmer is a corporate sellout and it’s time to let another Democrat lead.” (If you agree, please go here and donate.)
Exhibit C: his staff are texting people who they have never texted before, asking if they support Kilmer.
On primary day, we are going to shock the corporate elements of the Democratic Party that have tried to stop me from running.
We are going to show them what happens when you run on:
Protecting and expanding Social Security and Medicare
A jobs guarantee as part of the Green New Deal
Guaranteed healthcare to all
Ending homelessness in our district
Making public college and trade school free
Reallocating money from the police to social services
...you win!
When you help me win, you will be helping me fight for all of the above, and you’ll be helping elect the first woman to represent this seat, and the first openly LGBTQ member of Congress from Washington State.
Right now it’s crunch time to make that happen! I only have 2 days until my last quarter before the primary ends, and I need to raise $3,000 today to pay for calling and texting voters.
If you can, please donate here before my deadline:

P.S. I hope you are well. I know that many of us are scared as we watch Covid numbers in some places climb again. In Pierce County, our cases per 100,000 have doubled since 2.5 weeks ago when we applied for Phase 2. We have been home, many of us alone, for months — especially seniors. Stay safe and let’s get through this till we can all see each other in person again.
