These companies are profiting off of locking people up in detention centers where immigrant families are subjected to some of the worst conditions imaginable.
This is despicable, John:
The Trump administration has been handing out no-bid contracts worth hundreds of millions of dollars to private prison giants like CoreCivic and GEO Group — two companies that together donated millions to Republican campaigns and Trump’s inaugural committee.
These companies are profiting off of locking people up in detention centers where immigrant families are subjected to some of the worst conditions imaginable.
It’s unacceptable, and it’s happening in secret, with no accountability. That’s why Pramila joined her colleagues in Congress in demanding immediate oversight of ICE’s shady contracting practices.
But we know that pressure from Congress alone isn’t enough. We need to show Trump and his cronies that the people are watching, and we won’t let our government become a cash cow for private prison corporations who have a profit incentive to lock up as many people as possible.
👉🏽 Will you add your name to our petition demanding the Trump administration stop giving no-bid contracts to ICE’s private prison profiteers?
Add Your Name
Every voice adds to the pressure. If we speak out together, we can expose this corruption and stop taxpayer dollars from being funneled into the cruel, abusive practices these companies are carrying out.
In solidarity,
Team Pramila
