I know there have been a lot of emails from folks coming to you inbox lately. If you don’t remember, I’m Nick, Joe Kennedy’s campaign manager. And today I want to talk a little bit about why Joe inspires me and why I’m working on his campaign.

We are facing some pretty serious challenges: We have a pandemic infecting people at an unfathomable rate. We have a nation in turmoil over shocking police brutality and systemic racism. And we have a president who’s ripping apart our democracy bit by bit, while his Republican enablers sit back and watch.

We can’t solve these problems with the usual tools — or the same old politicians. We need new ideas and new leaders to take them on. We need Joe.

But getting Joe to the Senate isn’t an easy road, and our most critical test yet is only 48 hours away. We’re facing our final End-Of-Quarter FEC deadline before Joe’s primary. After this federal deadline, all our fundraising numbers are made public. We have to show that we have the resources to get across the finish line. Will you chip in?

America’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic has hit an all-time low, with new cases surging in states across the country. Hardworking families are struggling to get by in the midst of economic uncertainty. And the divisiveness stoked by Donald Trump and the GOP is getting worse every day.

Unfortunately, some of the leaders are simply not rising to these challenges, and that includes Senator Markey.

But instead of taking responsibility for his failings — from his recent string of missed Senate votes to his absence in his home state — Markey is making wild accusations against Joe. Not only that, he’s enlisting the help of a dark-money Super PAC to spread misinformation about Joe’s record.

No question about it, Massachusetts deserves a new leader in the Senate. But the only way we can bring about that change is with your help now, before the major end-of-quarter FEC filing deadline just days away.
