Hi John,
June is always a month for activism -- it marks both Gun Violence Awareness Month and Pride month. This June, Americans also stood up to march, protest, and speak out for racial justice.
I'm proud that Democrats in the House have shown legislative leadership where it matters. We're fighting for sensible gun reform, to protect our LGBTQ communities, prevent police brutality, and to enshrine equality and justice in the law once and for all.
These are the fights that matter. This is why we need to protect our Democratic majority in November.
We must protect our majority, John. Our team has a crucial fundraising deadline coming up in just 2 days. Can you pitch in any amount so we can run a strong campaign and keep WA-01 blue?

In 2019, while House Democrats passed the Equality Act extending civil rights protections to LGBTQ Americans and a major gun safety package expanding background checks and enacting other commonsense reform, Republicans focused on rubber-stamping Donald Trump's divisive and damaging agenda and toeing the party line.
The GOP-led Senate still refuses to take up those key legislative priorities.
On Thursday, House Democrats passed the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act of 2020, a sweeping reform bill that will ban chokeholds, increase transparency and accountability for law enforcement, and establish new standards for policing.
This legislation also waits for the Senate to act.
It's simple, John: We must defend our House majority if we're going to keep working towards equality and justice for Black and LGBTQ Americans and curb the epidemic of gun violence. That's why this race is so important. With your support, we'll show our two Republican challengers what this grassroots team is made of and go on to win in November.
We're only $5,726 short of our quarterly online fundraising goal -- I know we can hit it if you step up. Click here to rush a donation right away >> [link removed]
Thank you for powering this team. I couldn't do it without you.
Yours,
Suzan

The number one priority during this time is to make sure everyone helps mitigate the spread of COVID-19 in Washington state and across the country. Our campaign is doing our part by canceling all in-person events, moving to a digital operation, and supporting local efforts to help those in need. Emails like this are a critical part of our ability to run a strong campaign.
