John - Immigration is the #1 issue in America. The Gallup Poll found that more Americans list immigration as their top issue than any other. Immigration is more important to a majority of Americans than issues such as health care, guns, and foreign policy. NOBODY on any side of this issue is satisfied with our current immigration system. Both the Harvard/Harris poll and Pulse Opinion found that an absolute majority of voters want to cut immigration by half or more! Surprising to some, perhaps, is Harvard's finding that a majority of Republicans AND of Democrats want 50% cuts or more. Even more surprising, more than a third of Democrats want to cut legal immigration by 75% or more. As you know, the mainstream press is hostile to any move to limit immigration and to the rigorous enforcement of laws against illegal immigration. The press has often resorted to name calling, bringing our motives into question. Mainstream media commentators and political pundits try to label NumbersUSA as part of only a small, marginal minority. I wouldn't call the nearly 9 million of you, our members, "small" and certainly not "marginal." As poll after poll proves, John, you and our nine million other NumbersUSA members represent a HUGE MAJORITY OF AMERICANS.
