Jay wrote: Hi Mort, Just a quick note to let you know that with special thanks to Jackie Shafer and her Herculean efforts, and with incredible support of Nancy, Enid and others, we held an extremely successful ZOA Young Professionals event last night. More than 30 young Zionists filled our conference room. They were entertained by Abram Kaplan, Zionist musician, who spoke with a ZOA voice about the need for young Jews to be strong and proud. Jackie presented the merits of expressing their Zionism through ZOA and will be following up with the group. Jackie already created a ZOA WhatsApp group, there will be social media follow up, and we will include an article and photos in the upcoming ZOA annual report. Many of these amazing young Jews came up to me after the event expressing their gratitude and confirming this type of event, hosted by ZOA, fills an important need. I am sure Jackie will provide more details, for now I just wanted you to know about this important development and to acknowledge and applaud Jackie’s efforts. ZOA National President Morton A.
