So far there are two Republicans in the race for New Hampshire’s open
Senate seat — and they are tripping over themselves to get Donald Trump’s
endorsement.
Dan Innis recently praised President Trump’s abuse of power on DC’s
streets and called for New Hampshire to replicate the Texas GOP’s
redistricting scheme.
Scott Brown called Trump’s visit with Putin “a terrific show of force and
peace” and spends more time talking about New York City politics than
what’s happening here in New Hampshire.
Meanwhile both candidates have offered full-throated support for Trump’s
Big Ugly Bill. Trump’s own Treasury Secretary says it contains “a backdoor
for privatizing Social Security” — and here in the Granite State, more
than 334,000 people rely on those earned benefits.
Dan Innis and Scott Brown seem to think they’re competing on a reality
show, desperate to win the approval of Trump — who is reportedly courting
an entirely different candidate!
While his opponents try to out-MAGA each other, Chris Pappas is focused on
what really matters. He is traveling across the state, talking to families
and small business owners about how Trump’s trade war and other dangerous
policies are creating uncertainty over the future.
And in Congress Chris introduced legislation to exempt U.S. small
businesses from Canadian tariffs. Chris knows that Main Street is the
backbone of New Hampshire's economy — and Trump’s costly tariffs imposed
on our closest trading partner are already wreaking havoc.
