John,
We didn’t win the Battle River–Crowfoot by-election. But we never expected to.
This is one of the safest Conservative seats in the country.
The by-election was called only because Pierre Poilievre forced out a newly elected MP to stage his own vanity coronation.
It cost taxpayers millions. It was politics at its worst.
But it gave us an opportunity.
Jonathan Bridges stepped forward. He’s not a career politician. He’s a working father of five who took time off work because he believed this campaign could serve a bigger purpose:
To speak the truth. To promote real ideas. To remind Canadians that there is still one party willing to lead.
And at the heart of that message was one critical idea— a solution to the growing divide between Ottawa and the provinces.
We used this platform to spotlight
one of the most important policies we’ve ever released:
👉
Decentralized federalism—our plan to restore constitutional balance
and put power back in the hands of the provinces.
📖 Read it here: https://www.peoplespartyofcanada.ca/issues/federalism
Why now? Because Ottawa keeps overstepping its authority—interfering in areas that were never meant to be federal responsibilities.
Health care. Education. Infrastructure. The Constitution is clear: these are provincial matters. But the federal government uses your tax dollars to force provinces into one-size-fits-all programs—and punish those who don’t comply.
Talk of Alberta and Quebec separating from Canada is at an all-time high—and it’s growing. And who can blame them?
Ottawa floods the country with record numbers of
newcomers—without any concern for whether provinces can handle the
impact on housing, health services and wages.
Everything is
buckling under the strain. And still, the federal machine keeps
growing.
Our policy would stop Ottawa from using your tax dollars to boss around the provinces.
It’s bold. It’s necessary. And
no one else has the courage to say
it.
Of course, once the public starts paying
attention, our opponents do what they always do.
Pierre Poilievre and the Conservatives spent years attacking us for telling the truth on immigration.
Now? After years of pressure, Pierre finally took notice and started changing his tone. He’s now echoing our message—almost word for word.
Where was that courage three months ago, when it could’ve changed the election? He waited until it was safe. That’s not leadership—it’s cowardice and opportunism.
They’ve already stolen our
positions on lockdowns, carbon taxes, and immigration.
If they swipe our plan for provincial
autonomy next, we’ll take it as a
compliment.
It’s just one more PPC idea worth stealing.
Because when we lead, the rest are forced to follow.
If you're tired of leaders who won’t lead… If you believe Canada needs an outside voice with bold ideas and backbone…

To everyone who stood with us in this campaign—thank you!
