John, I'm all for making our government more efficient. But DOGE paying government employees NOT to do their work for the American people? That’s wasting tens of billions of public money.

Instead of creating a more efficient government, a new Senate report revealed that DOGE actually wasted $27.1 billion in just six months.

$14.8 billion of that was spent to cover Trump’s Deferred Resignation Program, and pay 200,000 workers to not show up to work for eight months.

Another $6.1 billion was spent to cover the 100,000 plus workers placed on administrative leave—who were also paid to not do their jobs.

And $150 million was spent on wasted resources due to DOGE shutting down several aid organizations and cutting back governmental operations.
