Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon is openly defying President Trump by
refusing to turn over the state’s voter registration list to the Department of
Justice (DOJ).



Simon insists he needs legal justification for the request even though the
Helping America Vote Act requires states to verify voter rolls against federal
databases to confirm eligibility. His stance flies in the face of the 77
million Americans who voted for President Trump to restore election integrity.



This is part of a broader pattern: blue states blocking voter ID laws,
ignoring federal election rules, and stonewalling transparency in how they
handle ballots.
