You know about the more than three dozen lawsuits I’ve filed against Trump since he took office seven months ago, but you might not know what all that work has done for California — and you.
Take a look at the impact of our litigation by the numbers:
➡️ $168+ billion: The amount of federal funding restored from a single early lawsuit in week one
➡️ $12.1 billion: Protected federal grant funding from successive attacks since week one
➡️ $33,600: Returned for the state for every $1 we’ve been given for this work
➡️ 15: Court orders currently in effect blocking Trump’s illegal actions
In the 212 days since Trump took office for the second time, I’ve sued him 39 times. I’m proud of that — but not because I set out to sue this President more than once a week.
I’m proud of it because, as Attorney General, I am unapologetic in my determination to hold accountable those who brazenly, flagrantly, and continuously violate the law and the U.S. Constitution.
No one is above the law — not even Donald Trump. When leaders abuse power, it’s the people who pay the price.
This work is only the beginning. We’re seven months in, we have 41 months to go, and the stakes are too high to slow down even for a moment.
California will work around the clock to fight for our people, our values, and our resources every single time they come under attack from this administration.
But I can’t keep up these fights unless I win re-election next year.
Will you make a donation of whatever amount is meaningful to you to my re-election campaign?
Thanks for standing with me.
In solidarity,
Rob
