The situation in Gaza is dire, and getting worse by the day. As the world tries to hold Netanyahu accountable for his war crimes, the Trump administration continues to send billions in weapons to Israel. The U.S. can’t claim to stand for human rights while enabling a genocide. We can’t condemn war crimes abroad while funding them ourselves.

That’s why in June, I introduced the Block the Bombs Act, aimed at stopping the US from sending bombs to Israel and finally holding the Netanyahu and Trump administrations accountable to international and US law. It’s time to use our leverage to demand full humanitarian access — and to make it clear that genocide and collective punishment will not be bankrolled with American tax dollars.

However, my courage has made me a target this upcoming election cycle.
