Children have the right to be protected, yet millions suffer from violence, exploitation and abuse every day.

There are approximately 152 million victims of child labour, worldwide – 48% of them engaged in dirty, dangerous and degrading work. And it’s estimated that 700 million women alive in the world today were married as girls – a third of them, before their 15th birthday.

For so many parents, having their children work or married off seems an inevitable reality. But it’s one that can change. Our child protection work aims to prevent and respond to abuse, neglect and other forms of violence against children. Especially the most vulnerable.
