All over the country, crackdowns on civil liberties are on the
   rise, John.
Protesters are being arrested and deported, the press is under attack, and
our basic rights are being threatened.
Here at 350.org, we aren't going to let any government or politician stop
us from taking to the streets and fighting for our planet.
So before I share how 350.org is gearing up to safeguard our climate
activists and our movement for our global Draw the Line protests in
September — please consider using this link to make a donation and ensure
we have the resources to protect each activist taking to the streets:

Our global days of action to Draw the Line in September are going to be a
time when all eyes are on us — from corrupt governments to shady fossil
   fuel companies and greedy billionaires.
That means it's more important than ever that we not only stand as one in
solidarity, but that we do everything we can to help ensure each other's
   safety.
Let me be clear: we will not back down to intimidation. Time and time
again, activists and protesters — people like you and me — go out in the
streets to stand up for what's right, to amplify the voices of
marginalized people and frontline communities around the world. And in
   September, we'll do it again.
We need as many people as possible to show up for these events and
actions. But in return, we have to be able to keep them safe.
We're taking safety and security measures at every mass protest we're
organizing for Draw the Line. We want to make sure everyone can safely
attend — that's the only way we'll get the numbers we need. But increasing
our safety measures also mean that the costs are racking up — quickly.
That is why we are asking you to make a $10
contribution today to help put enough security and medics on the ground at
events around the world to ensure the safety of all attendees:

   you please make a
$10 contribution today to become a founding donor of Draw
the Line and help provide crucial safety and security for climate
   activists?

They're trying to take away our rights and our power. But we won't let
them. We will show up united in September, we will have each other's
backs, and we won't back down.
   In solidarity,
   Olivia Langhoff
