Attention agency heads! Recognize public safety officers in law enforcement, firefighting, and emergency services for the Medal of Valor—one of the nation’s highest awards for valor by a public safety officer.

If you are not the chief executive officer of an agency, you can forward this information and suggest your agency nominate someone. 

This year’s Medal of Valor nomination period covers events that took place between June 1, 2024, and May 31, 2025. 

The nomination period closes at 5:00 p.m. ET on October 3, 2025.

Enacted in 1976, the PSOB Program provides death, disability, and education benefits to those eligible for the program.
