Dear John,
The world can feel like a frightening place right now, with escalating tensions everywhere. In Gaza we are witnessing an ongoing genocide. The war in Ukraine rages on. And the climate emergency is deepening, with severe drought devastating East Africa and deadly flooding from the Himalayas to the USA.

So, who’s benefiting from this? Certainly not most of us. While ordinary people around the world are facing rising costs and shrinking public services, the mega-rich and big corporations are cashing in with massive profits. Making millions from shady trade deals, blocking climate action and selling arms. They are thriving off a system designed to serve their interests.

Meanwhile, our government is on the verge of making a full trade deal with the US which could mean giving up control over big tech companies and handing even more power to billionaires intensifying global inequality. Here in the UK, the deal could also open the door for weakening vital protections over our public services.

At Global Justice Now, we campaign against corporate greed, climate and trade injustice, and the rigged systems that put profit before people. We’re bold, independent, and we don’t take money from corporations or governments, which means we rely on people like you.

If we’re going to keep pushing for real, lasting change, we need more people standing with us. Will you become a member today by setting up a regular donation?

Being a member means you’ll be part of a growing movement challenging inequality and holding the powerful to account. You’ll receive regular updates on our campaigns, see the impact your support is making, and have the chance to take action alongside others committed to global justice.

Amid the challenges of this year, we’ve also seen hope. Millions of people around the world have taken a stand demanding justice for Gaza, a wave of global solidarity has reminded us of what collective action can achieve. And while the systems we’re up against are huge and complex, we’re making real headway. Last year, we celebrated a major victory: the UK’s exit from the climate-wrecking Energy Charter Treaty, which was only possible because of people like you taking action.

People power is the lifeblood of Global Justice Now. Because we know it works. That's also why we protect our independence. We refuse funding from any sources that water down our work. As a result, we rely on people becoming members so we can us to speak truth to power and fight for real justice and equality. A regular gift, no matter the size, provides steady support we can count on so that we can plan ahead and keep up the fight.

Together, we can increase our impact and drive real change. Will you join us as a member and become part of a movement that’s fighting for justice, equality, and a sustainable future?
