Yesterday, I voted in the Assembly Elections Committee to support Congressional redistricting in California. Here’s why:

Republicans in Texas and other red states are shamelessly rigging the rules—gerrymandering districts to silence voters and entrench their power. If we don’t act, California risks losing our voice in Congress.

But unlike them, we’re doing this the fair way: by asking the voters, not politicians, to decide. That’s what democracy looks like.
