Upcoming Route 24 Closure in Gardiner [ [link removed] ] 08/20/2025 08:38 AM EDT
GARDINER - The Maine Department of Transportation will be conducting work on Route 24 in Gardiner for a large culvert replacement project. Clearing and prep work for this project began on August 18. A road closure/detour will start on or about September 2. This road will be closed to all but local traffic for up to 30 days. A temporary detour on Riverside Road will be in place during this closure. Work will be completed by this fall.

The contractor on this project is Wyman & Simpson Inc of Richmond, Maine.
