This recent news story is devastating.

Abortion is illegal in Texas, so the good news is that this father is being held accountable in a wrongful death lawsuit, accused of felonies and breaking federal law.

The founder of virtual abortion pill business Aid Access, Rebecca Gomperts, is also wrapped up in the lawsuit. The baby’s father apparently attained the pills from Aid Access, which is an illegal business. The FDA ordered it to stop in 2019.

The mother made it clear she wanted to keep the baby. When the father could not convince her to get an abortion, he allegedly took matters into his own hands.

The baby’s mother has claimed that, while she was 8 weeks pregnant, he poisoned her drink with 1 mifepristone pill (which causes the baby to die) and 10 misoprostol pills (an overdose) — this pill is meant to cause the mother’s body to expel the deceased child.

The mother started cramping within 30 minutes, and when the father refused to take her to the hospital, she banged on a neighbor’s door.

Doctors were not able to save her baby.

John, we must let the sorrow and horror of this story sink in and allow it to spur us to action.

We cannot stay silent as something as deadly as the abortion pill continues to be normalized. These stories must be shouted from the rooftop.

The FDA claims only 0.5% of women who take the abortion pill will suffer serious (even life-threatening) side effects, but a recently released Ethics and Public Policy Center report sheds light on the sobering truth: the percentage is actually over 10%. That’s a rate 22 times higher than the FDA’s claim.

Tragically, this is not the only story of men sneaking the abortion pill into a mother’s food or drink.

In general, studies show that 64% of women who aborted felt coerced to do so.
