Meet Leslie
Leslie first learned about Equality Now through an advert in Cosmopolitan magazine in the 1990s. She saw her values mirrored in our work to ensure that all women and men have equal rights under the law, and she decided to become a monthly donor. Over the decades, Leslie has witnessed Equality Now be a powerful catalyst for change, inspiring her to extend her commitment to Equality Now through a legacy gift.
"As I consider myself a global citizen of the world, I feel deep empathy for the pain and suffering of the vulnerable who live in oppressive cultures anywhere in the world. I am pulled to continue my support, especially in these challenging times, as patriarchal, authoritarian influence is increasing around the world. To manifest my desire for significant and lasting change for women and children everywhere around the globe, I am proud to place trust in Equality Now, an organization that reflects my values and views, and has become an established catalyst of successful transformation since its founding. Because this cause is so important to me, I want to ensure my giving is a legacy that continues after I’m gone, and I plan to leave a donation to Equality Now in my will.”
