During the last election, economists sounded the alarm about Donald Trump’s sweeping tariffs plan. Now the cracks are starting to show.

Inflation is sky-high. Our economy is slowing. The most recent jobs report showed growth at its lowest since the pandemic.

And, instead of reflecting on his tariff policy, what did Donald Trump do? He fired the Commissioner of Labor Statistics because the job numbers didn’t make him look good.

This is exactly the kind of authoritarian behavior that threatens our democracy AND our economy.

This country was a place where people could work hard and build a better life. Across CA-25, people never stop working to support their dreams, families, and communities.

But these tariffs threaten to make that American Dream impossible for millions of families.

Since day one, I’ve been fighting to protect opportunity for every family in CA-25. But if we don’t flip the House, we can’t stop Trump’s reckless economic agenda or hold him accountable.
