This is concerning on so many levels, John.
President Trump just declared war on mail-in voting – pledging to sign an executive order banning vote by mail before the 2026 midterm elections.
This is a direct attack on California voters, 100% of whom receive their ballots in the mail if registered.
Make no mistake: This is a move designed to favor the GOP. Only three seats separate House control, and making voting more difficult could majorly impact the outcome of next year’s election.
Mail-in voting is the best way to protect our fundamental right to vote, especially for those who would have trouble reaching an in-person vote center. If the president truly cared about election integrity, he wouldn’t be taking advice from Russian President Putin – he would expand vote by mail.
