The latest data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shows
an alarming trend — the rise in gun deaths among Americans under 18. 

More kids are dying by firearm. Guns kill more kids than car crashes or
cancer. 

Let that sink in. 

We’re heartbroken but not shocked by this study. It shows what we’ve known
for a long time: Kids pay with their lives when politicians sell their
souls to the gun lobby. 

Now, under Trump the CDC is being gutted in an attempt to hide this
reality from the American public. 

The Trump administration has cut funding for gun violence prevention
research that documents statistics like this. But, they can’t hide the
reality of empty seats at high school graduation, prom dresses that will
never be worn, or super hero backpacks that will never ride the bus
again. 

Kids are dying at historic rates from firearms. Trump is trying to cover
it up.
