Just before the new school year, the Trump administration froze more than $110 million in funding for our schools, leaving students, teachers, and parents in chaos.

Trump’s reckless funding freeze tried to throw special needs services into chaos, upend teacher training programs, threaten childcare options for working parents, and freeze millions in classroom resources, extracurriculars, and enrichment programs.

In Baltimore City alone, over $11 million was cut, risking the jobs of dozens of educators and leaving critical educational programs in jeopardy.

I’m running for reelection to continue fighting for our children’s education and future. We must prevent future cuts to Maryland’s schools to ensure teachers have the resources they need. Our children, teachers, and schools deserve better.
