Last time I checked the Bible, it said: “Take everything you have and give it to the poor.”
It didn’t say: “Steal everything you can from the poor and lock them up.”
But Donald Trump’s followers seem to have gotten that mixed up. You see, right now, people with wealth and power are exploiting working families while the poor are punished just for trying to survive.
Maybe it’s time to give MAGA a lesson: That’s not justice — it’s cruelty dressed up in a courtroom.
I became District Attorney to change all of this. To fight mass incarceration. To hold the powerful accountable. To ensure our system serves all people, not just the wealthy and well-connected.
And because of that work, I’ve been attacked relentlessly by right-wing extremists and political insiders who want to drag Philadelphia back to the failed policies of the past. They’ll spend whatever it takes to try to silence this movement for justice.
