We want to be clear about this: No one on our team is taking your support for granted. We don’t expect you — or anyone else — to chip in and support Dave just because he’s a Democrat running in a competitive election.

Instead, we’re hoping that if we lay out how Dave’s leadership is exceptionally unique in Congress and why your donation truly makes a difference, you’ll believe in our campaign strongly enough to contribute toward its success.

So with that said, we need to be a little more upfront than usual: Is there anything we can say to persuade you to chip in?

What if we told you that the national Republican Party is already running attack ads against Dave?

What if we told you that the battle for the House of Representatives could come down to just a handful of votes right here in Orange County?

And what if we told you that Dave isn’t your typical swing-district Democrat? Instead, he’s been one of the loudest, most outspoken voices against Trump’s authoritarianism, despite representing one of the most competitive districts in the country.

The fact is, all of these things are true, and it all adds up to why your support is so important.

This grassroots team is our best and only option to keep pace with the GOP’s spending and outwork our opponents every minute until Election Day. So if any of these reasons earned your support, will you pitch in $10, or whatever amount sounds right to you?
