As the new school year begins, I want to extend a warm welcome to all of you from the ADL Education team. Whether you're returning to the classroom or stepping into it for the first time, we are here to support you every step of the way.

Navigating complex topics like identity, antisemitism, and the Holocaust can be challenging. At ADL, we believe in empowering educators with the tools and strategies needed to foster understanding and allyship within their classrooms and school communities. Whether you're just beginning to explore these topics or are a seasoned educator, we have resources and learning opportunities tailored for everyone.

We are committed to supporting educators who wish to address hate, deepen antisemitism and Holocaust education, and promote allyship and understanding in their schools. Together, we can make a significant impact in shaping our students – this year and beyond.

Swastikas and Nazi Salutes: Teaching Symbols of Hate

The Nazis took advantage of the power of images, adopting and manipulating symbols such as the swastika to excite and incite. Attend to learn about the historical background of Nazi imagery and classroom strategies on how to teach antisemitism.

Foundations of Holocaust Education – Starts September 8th

Build a profound understanding of the Holocaust and the history of antisemitism and its enduring significance. Three interactive modules provide educators with a sound pedagogy for teaching about the Holocaust.  

ONLINE COURSE:
Breaking Down Antisemitism: Guiding Students from Awareness to Action – Starts October 16^th

Get equipped with knowledge and confidence to tackle hate head-on, building a dynamic culture of awareness, respect and meaningful action against antisemitism for students. Through this facilitator-guided learning experience and an energizing collaborative community of educators, you'll craft an action plan to implement Awareness to Action: Challenging Antisemitism digital course for students.

Join BEACON: Building Educator Allies for Change, Openness and Networks, ADL's program for K-12 educators ready to create more inclusive school communities. Part of ADL's School Action Network, participants will grow their advocacy skills, network with other educators and learn how to combat antisemitism and hate in K-12 schools.

No Place for Hate Registration is Open for 2025-2026 

We are excited to announce that registration for the No Place for Hate program is now open for the 2025-2026 school year. We encourage schools to explore this impactful program and bring its framework to their schools to address school climate needs and receive support in combating antisemitism and hate. The No Place for Hate initiative has proven to be a valuable resource for schools, as highlighted by our 2024-2025 End-of-Year Survey. 

• 91% of participants are very likely or likely to recommend the program.  
• 86% agree that No Place for Hate provides effective tools and strategies to address bias.  
• 75% saw a decrease in bullying behavior.
