Under Donald Trump’s watch, Montana public schools are receiving fewer resources from the federal government — all while parents are paying more to make up the difference!

As children across Montana prepare for the new school year, parents and teachers are facing some serious sticker shock. Backpacks, pencil cases, notebooks, and so much more — Trump’s tariff chaos has caused the cost of school supplies to jump nearly 20 percent compared to last year.

At the same time, the Trump Administration has declared an all-out war on public education. For weeks on end, they even withheld $26 million in funding previously approved for Montana public schools!

But here’s the thing, John: Montana Republicans like Ryan Zinke have the power to stop this. They can call out Trump’s price-hiking tariffs. They can work across the aisle to offer real support for our public schools. They just don’t want to.

Instead, they’re more than happy to let their DC party bosses dictate their votes, regardless of how it impacts our state.
