In 2011, my life changed forever when I survived a mass shooting at a constituent event in my hometown. I decided to turn my pain into purpose by becoming a national gun safety advocate, and I've never looked back. But today, I'm not writing to talk about myself. I'm here to tell you about my friend, John Hickenlooper.

John has been a champion for gun safety his whole career, leading efforts to keep Americans safe and spearheading lifesaving policy changes after some of Colorado’s worst tragedies. And he’s the kind of leader we can count on to keep up the fight to close dangerous ghost gun loopholes and hold gun traffickers accountable.
