A fringe bill in Congress would impose a dangerous, backdoor arms embargo on Israel — even as our ally is fighting right now to defeat terrorists, free the hostages, protect its families, and safeguard our shared security.
And it’s no surprise who’s pushing it: anti-Israel members of Congress like Ilhan Omar, AOC, and Pramila Jayapal. They’re trying to tie Israel’s hands in the middle of a war.
Let’s be clear about who wins if this passes: Hamas, Hezbollah, and Tehran. Handcuffing Israel in the middle of a war doesn’t promote peace — it enables and rewards terror.
The U.S.–Israel security partnership is essential to Americans’ safety and our country’s national interest. It deters Iran, protects our troops, advances missile defense, and promotes stability in the Middle East, a region so often defined by chaos.
Congress must reject this bill now. Allies deserve support — terrorists deserve pressure.
History shows what happens when American leadership wavers: Our enemies push harder. But when we stand strong, peace has a chance — and hostages come home.
The mission of AIPAC is to encourage and persuade the U.S. government to enact specific policies that create a strong, enduring and mutually beneficial relationship with our ally Israel.
