We are excited to announce the 2nd Edition of the New Mexico Healthy Masculinities Toolkit! This body of work emerges from a collaborative effort of 17 organizations statewide. It includes feedback from many of you, who graciously participated in an evaluation of the first iteration of this toolkit. It aims to help members, explore gender, reimagine masculinities, and deepen consent, within relationships. Ultimately, we hope it serves as a resource for communities! Visit masculinitiesnm.org to view the full toolkit or find what best serves your practice and role in community conversations by reviewing the following: Pre-readings on masculinities. Facilitator’s Guide with tools for facilitation prep and evaluation. 13 group activities to consider around topics from affirmative consent and healthy relationships; to music and masculinities; and supporting fathers and partners in the birthing process. Appendices, which include handouts for print and additional resources in support of understanding and working toward healthy masculinities. We invite you to use this toolkit to support the development of healthy masculine expressions rooted in connection, compassion, emotional awareness, humility, respect, collaboration, and courageous vulnerability. This resource offers much-needed nonviolent approaches to relationships and community building. Thank you to our steadfast partners who have contributed to this manual and our ongoing healthy masculinities community of practice, some of whom include: Visit masculinitiesnm.org to view the full toolkit!
