President Donald Trump and the Republicans have full control of our federal government, from Congress to the Supreme Court. The past seven months have not been pretty, but they have been illuminating.

So let’s take a look at how the Republicans have used their power so far, and who’s benefiting:Healthcare cuts for nearly ten million Americans → Nearly 7.5 million Americans are set to lose Medicaid coverage, and another 2.1 million people will lose ACA coverage.

Rising prices → Americans are experiencing rising prices on everything from fuel to health care to food products due to President Trump’s chaotic tariffs.

Unlawful and violent immigration raids → U.S. citizens have been wrongfully detained by ICE agents, and law-abiding undocumented immigrants and asylum seekers have been deported to foreign prisons.

Mass layoffs for federal employees and contractors → More than 100,000 members of the federal workforce have been arbitrarily targeted for layoffs, including scientists, public health regulators, and educators.

Tax cuts for the rich, at the expense of the poor. Thanks to Trump and the Republicans’ “Big, Beautiful Bill,” individuals making over a million dollars a year will see their taxes decrease. The poorest households will see their taxes raised.
