In yet another blatant attack on the trans community, the Trump Administration is gearing up to withhold critical funding from hospitals that offer gender-affirming care for trans youth.
Make no mistake, this isn’t about budget cuts or efficiency – it’s part of a deliberate campaign to silence and erase LGBTQ+ people, starting with the most vulnerable among us: our youth.
It’s also part of a deeply troubling trend nationwide: this year alone, hundreds of anti-trans bills have been introduced in state legislatures nationwide.
This moment demands action. As a leader in the Washington State Legislative LGBTQ+ Caucus – and a proud member of this great community – I’ve spent my career making Washington a sanctuary for LGBTQ+ people. And I’m not backing down from this fight now.
