Yesterday, President Trump took to Truth Social to spread a deluge of disinformation and lies about our elections — and he promised to take action to end mail-in voting altogether.

Let’s be clear, Trump isn’t focused on safeguarding our elections and ensuring every vote counts. Quite the opposite. This is a politically motivated stunt to prevent voters across the country, including Arizonans, from exercising their right to vote.

More than 75% of Arizona voters use early ballots. Voting by mail in Arizona is safe and secure, period.

But Donald Trump doesn’t want every eligible voter to participate in our democracy. He’s spreading these baseless conspiracies to sow distrust, increase the risk of violent threats against election workers, and tilt the results of competitive races like ours in his favor.

Whatever Donald Trump tries to do to end mail-in voting, it will almost certainly fail in court — but the damage has already been done. He’s laying the groundwork for MAGA extremists, including both of my opponents, to undermine trust in our elections and make it more difficult for everyone to participate in our democracy.
