Patriot, the floodgates have opened.
I’m officially under attack from AIPAC for saying "the most truthful and easiest thing to say that Oct 7th in Israel was horrific and all hostages must be returned, but so is the genocide, humanitarian crisis, and starvation happening in Gaza".
The genocide, humanitarian crisis, and starvation in Gaza aren’t political issues for me, they are issues of my Christian faith. God commands me to walk in truth and love.
He commands me to walk in truth of the Gospel, that Jesus was fully divine and fully human, died for our sins, and was resurrected in victory over death.
He also commands me to walk in love, by obeying His commandments, including to love one another.
What is happening in Gaza is a violation of God’s commandments and a travesty of humanity, and I refuse to bear false witness for my own political benefit. What is political about this is that AIPAC is going to bring their immense power to bear against me.
I’m one of the only members of Congress that doesn’t take money from AIPAC and who never has.
