Trump may have the city of Washington, DC under his control, but he doesn’t have the people on his side.

Regular folks are joining the fight to resist the police state that has taken hold of their city because they can clearly see that Trump’s show of force is creating far more problems than it solves.

There is a movement growing every day to fight back and oppose Trump’s dictator-tactics. Please, rush a contribution to Ilhan Omar right now and help us continue to build and organize nation-wide.

CHIP IN HERE
It’s been a week since Trump sent federal law enforcement into DC and took control of the local police force.

What we’ve seen has not been a crackdown on crime, but rather constant harassment and brutality against vulnerable communities and especially immigrant communities.

In fact, initial data shows that immigration-related arrests are by far the most common kind of action taken by Trump’s thugs. They’re not stopping some huge wave of violent crime, as Trump and Fox News would like you to believe. They’re ripping innocent people away from their families under the lie of “public safety.”

Kristina, it’s clear that Trump didn’t invoke his emergency powers for a real emergency — he did it so he could go around DC’s local laws and move forward with his extreme deportation regime.

Now more than ever, we must stand united against Trump’s hateful agenda and authoritarian police state. Trump has already said that more cities may be next — even Minneapolis.

That’s why we are asking you to send a message that we will not back down by making a contribution today. Every donation, no matter the size, helps us go up against the far-right and win the tough fights ahead.
