SNAP Cuts in One Big Beautiful Bill Act Leave Almost 3 Million Young Adults Vulnerable to Losing Nutrition Assistance discusses how work requirements, restricting benefit level increases, and shifting SNAP program costs to states could threaten food access for young adults. Restricting increases to benefit levels would leave young adults less likely to be able to afford even a modest amount of food, and work-reporting requirements are difficult for young adults to meet due to unstable and varying work hours. Additionally, look out for an invitation to join a webinar taking place on October 28 that will bring state and local policymakers together to discuss innovative ways to drive access for young adults.
